Auburn, MA 01501

The Auburn Public Library is located at 369 Southbridge Street (Route 12) at the intersection of Brotherton Way. Brotherton Way runs from Southbridge Street to Auburn Street between the library and the Auburn Mall. Brotherton Way was part of Swanson Road until it was renamed in honor of Worcester firefighter Paul Brotherton, who lived in Auburn, and died in the Worcester Cold Storage Warehouse fire. Older maps will still have this street listed as Swanson Road. The rest of Swanson Road, from Bryn Mawr Avenue to Southbridge Street, still bears that name.

From the Massachusetts Turnpike (Route 90)
Take Exit 90 from the Massachusetts Turnpike and follow the signs for Route 12 North. The Library will be on your right just after the Auburn Mall.

From Route 290 East
From Route 290, take Exit 13 (Swanson Road exit). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Swanson Road. At the traffic light you will be able to see the Library across Southbridge Street to the left. You may turn left and take your first right into the Library parking lot or cross Southbridge Street to Brotherton Way and turn left after the traffic island into the Library parking lot.

From Route 290 West
From Route 290, take Exit 13 (Auburn Street exit). At the end of the exit ramp, proceed straight through the traffic light. At the next traffic light, turn left onto Swanson Road.
